Karin Wiertz
Karin WIERTZ (1946) and Jacques Verbeek (1947-1993) were students of filmmaker and artist Frans Zwartjes. They worked together on film in the 1970s and 1980s, while the stress was gradually changing from live action to animation. In 1973, Verbeek and Wiertz earned the Billiton-Van der Rijn award, which filmmakers got because of their contribution to the development of the Dutch filmindustry.
