Joost Conijn

Joost CONIJN (1971, Netherlands) is an artist, filmmaker and writer. He studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the Sandberg Institute. Conijn is known for his projects with self-made machines; he examines the boundaries between human beings and technology. Conijn wrote a book about his travels in a self-made aircraft, entitled Piloot van goed en kwaad. In 2000, he received the Charlotte Köhler Prize for young artists, and in 2005 the Cobra Art award.
