Joanna Hogg

Joanna HOGG (1960, UK) started her career in filmmaking through a chance meeting with director Derek Jarman. He convinced her to trade in her photo camera for Super 8, and encouraged her to make experimental films. After graduating from the National Film and Television School, Hogg directed music videos for Alison Moyet and other artists, and worked for TV. Her first feature film, Unrelated (2007), won a Guardian First Film Award. Exhibition is her third film.
