Jean-Marc Vallée
Jean-Marc VALLÉE (1963, Canada) studied Film at the Université du Québec à Montréal and was educated in filmmaking at the Collège Ahuntsic. After graduating he produced numerous short films, and in 1991 he made his first short film Stereotypes. The film won him multiple awards. In 1995 his first feature film Black List was released, after which he moved to Los Angeles. The film C.R.A.Z.Y. (2005) won the award for Best Canadian Film at the Toronto Film Festival. His films The Young Victoria (2009), Dallas Buyers Club (2013) and Wild (2014) were nominated for multiple Oscars and won four.
