Jean-François Stévenin

JeanFrançois Stevenin (1944) was apprentice in 1968 on a film by Alain Cavalier. Then he worked for La sirène du Mississippi as assistant director of Truffaut, with whom he made several films. In his long career as actor, he worked with e.g. Jacques Rivette, Laszlo Szabo, Jacques Rozier, Barbet Schroeder and recently with Laetitia Masson and Eric Rochant. He made his directing début in 1979 with Le passemontagne, for which he received the FIPRESCI Prize at the Venice Festival.
