James IVORY (1928, USA) is a renowned filmmaker, producer and screenwriter whose work spans decades. Born in California, he studied Fine Arts at the University of Oregon and the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. He has been nominated for four Academy Awards, and won one for Best Adapted Screenplay for his work producing and writing Call Me by Your Name (2017). He also won a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award, among numerous others. His films Autobiography of a Princess (1975) and A Cooler Climate (2022) were selected for IFFR 2023.
