Jakrawal NILTHAMRONG (1977, Thailand) is a filmmaker, writer and artist who lives and works in Bangkok. He obtained his BFA at Silpakorn University, Bangkok in 2000 and MFA at the School of Art Institute of Chicago, USA, in 2006. In 2007, he was an artist-in-residence at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. Jakrawal’s cinematic work extends from short films, documentary films and video installations to feature films. His feature debut, Unreal Forest (2010), screened at IFFR in the Forget Africa programme. His second feature film, Vanishing Point (2015), supported by the Hubert Bals Fund, won the Hivos Tiger Award at International Film Festival Rotterdam. Anatomy of Time (2021) world-premiered at the Venice Film Festival in the competitive Orizzonti section.
