Jacques Tati

Jacques Tati (born: Jacques Tatischeff, 1908, Le Pecq, France) was the grandson of the ambassador of the Russian Czar in Paris. He played professional rugby and used these experiences in the early thirties when he became a successful entertainer. After playing several minor roles in films by Claude Autant-Lara be directed a short film, after which he was offered an opportunity to make his first full-length feature.
