Izutani Tomonori
When IZUTANI Tomonori (Japan) was a junior in high school, his art teacher recommended Nobuhiko Obayashi’s The Rocking Horsemen (1992). After watching it, he immediately decided to become a filmmaker. He made his first 8mm work with friends during the summer vacation. He has worked for Shochiku Kyoto studio, and been a freelance assistant director for TV commercials. Mejima (2013) is his first feature film.
