Ingrid Veninger

Ingrid VENINGER (1968, Slovakia) moved to Canada at an early age. She started acting in her teens. She later got involved with the production process, including as assistant director on The Adjuster (Atom Egoyan, 1991). In 2000 she attended the Canadian Film Centre, and in 2003 she founded her own production company: pUNK Films. In the same year she wrote and directed her short debut film Urda/Bone. Together with Simon Reynolds she directed her first feature film Only (2008). For Modra (2010) she returned to her country of birth. The film won the Audience Award at the Bratislava International Film Festival. He Hated Pigeons (2015) is her fifth feature film.
