Hind Meddeb

Hind MEDDEB (France), who is French-Tunisian, was born in Châtenay-Malabry. She works as a journalist for the television channels France 24 and Arte (GER) and the website Paris Première (F). Her documentaries and reports are often political and music-related. In 2005, Meddeb received the Daniel Pearl Award (for multiculturalism through journalism, music and modern communication technologies).
In June 2012, Meddeb signed as one of 70 intellectuals the manifesto for the 'Democracy of Tunisia'. In late 2013 and early 2014 she was on trial in Tunisia, together with rappers Mustapha Fakhfakh and Aymen El-Feki, for disturbing the peace and insulting on-duty police officers.
