Helena Wittmann

Helena WITTMANN (1982, Germany) studied Spanish and Media Studies in Erlangen and Hamburg, after which she attended the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg (HFBK), graduating in 2014. She made several short films, including Wildnis (2013) and 21,3°C (2014), which were shown internationally in exhibitions and film festivals. Her debut feature DRIFT (2017) was selected for the competition in Venice. For this film, she collaborated closely with anthropologist Theresa George and musician Nika Breithaupt.
