Giovanni Donfrancesco
Giovanni DONFRANCESCO (Italy) is a filmmaker and producer. He founded Altara Films, a production company that supports his own work and that of other film-makers. His works have been screened and awarded at a variety of international film festivals. The Stone River (2013) won the Poggiali award for best documentary in Rome, the Young Jury award at the Cinéma du Réel in Paris and the Italian Golden Globe for best documentary. Donfrancesco's film The Resolute (2017) premiered at Giornate delgi Autori, an independent film event of the Venice Film Festival.
