Gabriel Abrantes
Award-winning filmmaker Gabriel ABRANTES (1984, USA) studied at The Cooper Union in New York, L’ENSBA in Paris and Le Fresnoy in Tourcoing. His work has been shown in several important exhibitions, for example in Palais de Tokyo and Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. His films have received numerous international awards and nominations. His short film A History of Mutual Respect (co-directed with Daniel Schmidt) was nominated for A Tiger Award at IFFR 2011. Diamantino (2018, also co-directed with Schmidt) won the Palm Dog Jury Prize as well as the Critics' Week Grand Prize in Cannes, among others.
