Frederique Pisuisse

Dutch artist Frederique PISUISSE (1986) received her Bachelor’s degree in Art & Design from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, before travelling to the United Kingdom to follow a Fine Arts Masters programme in London, where she graduated in 2016. During her stay in London, Pisuisse investigated the infrastructure of the art world in her work. Which systems, hierarchies and power relationships lie at its basis? In her current practice, she explores consciousness-expanding moments and altered and inner states, resulting in performances, installations and video works such as Tripsitter. She runs the online art platform Cosmos Carl together with co-founder, artist Saemundur Thor Helgason.
