Francesca Solari

Francesca SOLARI (b. 1950, Switzerland) was trained in philosophy and sociology of art. After being involved in the Italian protest movements of the 1970s, she worked as a journalist and director in the 1980s and 1990s for the Swiss Italian radio and television. In 2000, she directed a feature documentary Addio Lugano bella, which was nominated for the Swiss Film Prize. Solari was a close collaborator of the French director Marcel Hanoun, and a producer of Hanoun's and Paolo Gioli’s films.
