Eran KOLIRIN (1973, Israel) is a director and scriptwriter. After writing and directing mainly for television, his first step into cinema was an instant success. The Band's Visit (2007) was awarded several prizes in Israel and also won awards at various international film festivals, including the FIPRESCI Prize Un Certain Regard in Cannes. His second film, The Exchange (2011), was included in the Golden Lion competition at the Venice Film Festival and was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize at the San Fransisco International Film Festival. Beyond the Mountains and Hills (2016) is his third feature.
