Eliza HITTMAN (1979, USA) studied Film Directing at the California Institute of the Arts. Her short films have been shown at major film festivals and have won several awards. Forevers Gonna Start Tonight (2011) was listed on Indiewire’s list of ‘the Best of the Best’ shorts at Sundance 2011. It Felt Like Love (2013), her first feature film, was nominated for a Tiger Award. Beach Rats (2017) premiered at Sundance, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize and won the Directing Award. Never Rarely Sometimes Always (2020) also premiered at Sundance, winning the US Dramatic Special Jury Award. Hittman was also awarded the Silver Bear at the 2020 Berlinale.
