Douglas Gordon

Douglas GORDON (1966, Scotland) works with film, video, sound installations, photographs and text. Important themes in his work are self-representation and identity, temporality and repetition. He was awarded the Turner Prize in London in 1996, the Premio 2000 at the Venice Biennale in 1997 and the Hugo Boss Prize in 1998 in New York. His work is in the collections of (e.g.) the Tate Gallery (England), the Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris) and the Guggenheim Museum (New York). He lives and works in New York.
