Deborah Haywood

Deborah HAYWOOD (1970, United Kingdom) is a British filmmaker. After making her first short film Lady Margaret, she was named as one of Screen International’s 'Stars of Tomorrow' in 2007. For her film Sis (2011) she received several awards, among them for Best Short at the Soho Rushes Film Festival. After several short films which all took place around Swadlincote, the village where Haywood grew up, she made her feature film debut with Pin Cushion (2017), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
