David Claerbout

David CLAERBOUT (1969, Belgium) lives and works in Antwerp and Berlin. He graduated from the art academy in Antwerp in 1995, and makes photographs, videos and audio art. Claerbout is best known for his large-scale video projections, in which he combines moving and still images. His adaptation of the Disney classic The Jungle Book (1967), called The Pure Necessity (2016), was shown at several museums and will be shown at IFFR 2017.
