Daniel Jacoby
Still: No One CriedDaniel JACOBY (1985, Peru) is an Amsterdam-based director and artist who graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and furthered his education at the Städelschule in Frankfurt and the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht. Should Auld Acquaintance be Forgot (2010) was his first foray into filmmaking. Cuculí (2011) shows his time in Japan, where he had a residency at Tokyo Wonder Site. Here, he met Yu Araki. Together they directed Mountain Plain Mountain (2018), which won a Tiger Short Award. The following year, Nehemías was nominated for the same award. His work has been screened or exhibited around the world, including at EYE Film Institute, Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen and Sheffield Doc/Fest.
