Clémence Hébert

Born in France in 1979, Clémence HÉBERT studied ffilmmaking at the Institut Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle (INSAS) in Brussels. She devoted her first short film The Father's Boat (2010), to an autobiographical quest in her hometown. Then she undertook a training in anthropology to understand issues related to mental health. An immersion in several psychiatric institutions started the production of her two short films The Open Door and Strange Country (2014). These turned out to be preparatory for a feature film about a young boy Hébert met in one of these institutions Kev (2018).
