Charlotte Wells

Charlotte WELLS (1987, Scotland) is a filmmaker and producer based in New York. She directed three short films as part of her studies in the MBA/MFA dual-degree program at NYU. Inspired by her grandparents, Blue Christmas (2017) won Best Student Short at Savannah Film Festival in 2018 and was nominated for Best International Short Film at Toronto International Film Festival in 2017. Wells was also a Fellow at the 2020 Sundance Institute Screenwriters and Directors Labs. Partly inspired by her own holidays with her father, Aftersun (2022) is her debut feature and has drawn worldwide acclaim.
