Catherine Hébert
The Canadian filmmaker Catherine HÉBERT is know for her political and social documentary films. Interested in the effects of war and violence against women, she has often filmed in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her films, and in particular De l’autre côté du pays/The Other Side of the Country (2008) and Carnets d'un grand détour/Notes on a Road Less Taken (2012), have been selected for several international festivals where they have won numerous awards.
