      Birgitte Staermose

      Birgitte STAERMOSE (1963, Denmark) studied Film and Media Arts at the Temple University in Philadelphia. Her previous work includes some award winning short films. Small Avalanches (2003) was nominated for the UIP Prize for Best European Short at the European Film Awards. Sophie (2006) was screened in competition at Sundance and selected for New Directors/New Films and awarded the ARTE prize. Out of Love (2009) is her first short documentary. Staermose is currently working on her debut feature.
