BarBara HANLO (1957, Netherlands) is a visual artist, photographer and filmmaker. She makes feature documentaries as well as short experimental films. Since 1993, all her films have had their world premiere at IFFR. She writes and produces her own films with her independent production company PEP (Purple Earth Productions). Besides her work as an artist, Hanlo has lectured at Royal Academy of Art, The Hague and worked for several cultural education projects in Amsterdam.
