Assaf Gruber

Assaf GRUBER (1980, Israel) is a sculptor, artist and filmmaker who studied at Cooper Union in New York, the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the Higher Institute of Fine Arts (HISK) in Ghent. His films touch on themes of individual political ideologies and how they intertwine with personal stories. Gruber has held solo exhibitions in Berlin and Warsaw among other locations, and his films have been shown at festivals including FID Marseille, Berlinale Film Festival and the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. He is based in Berlin, where he is one of the fellows of the Berlin Artistic Research Grant Programme for 2022/2023.
