Armand Simon
Aruban Armand Simon studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory and at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht. He then became director of Da Vinci Academy, a multi-disciplinary center for the arts in Aruba. Since 2012, he coaches the Young Actors Club, a group of talented and highly motivated teenage actors. In 2014 he directed his first short film The Island. His short film Yesterday's Rain won the Caribbean Shorts Competition of Curacao International Film Festival Rotterdam 2017.
