Antonio Méndez Esparza

Antonio MÉNDEZ ESPARZA (1976, Spain) earned a law degree before moving to the USA and receiving an MFA in Film from Columbia University. In 2009, Esparza’s short film Time and Again won Best Narrative Short in Los Angeles. His debut feature Here and There (2012) was selected for the competition of International Critique’s Week in Cannes and won the Grand Prix. It was well represented in over sixty film festivals worldwide and won Best Film in Montreal, Mumbai and Texas. His second feature Life and Nothing More (2017) had its world premiere in Toronto’s Contemporary World Cinema programme.
