Antonin Svoboda

Antonin SVOBODA (1969, Vienna) studied art history and theatre. Afterwards he studied at the film academy in Vienna. In 1999 he founded the film production company coop99 with Barbara Albert, Jessica Hausner and Martin Gschlacht. As a director he has made several shorts and many commercials. With coop99 he produced Darwin’s Nightmare (2004, Hupert Sauper) and fallen by Barbara Albert, which is being screened at this year’s festival. Immer nie am Meer is his second feature.
