Anne McGuire

Anne MCGUIRE (USA) started making videos in the late 1980s while a student. Her work often plays with the conventions and aesthetics of television. She also engaged in disaster deconstruction with Strain Andromeda The (1993), a re-edit of Robert Wise’s classic, and Adventure Poseidon The (2006). In addition to her filmmaking, she is a poet and singer. She has performed as Freddy McGuire with San Francisco-based electronic musician Wobbly. She also taught at the San Francisco Art Institute, University of California Santa Cruz, Stanford University and KyungSung University in Busan, South Korea.
