Andrew Haigh

Andrew HAIGH (1973, UK) worked as assistant editor for various projects, such as Ridley Scott's Gladiator (2000) and Harmony Korine's Mister Lonely (2007), before focusing exclusively on his own career as a filmmaker in 2008. He was named Screenwriter to Watch by Variety in 2011. After Greek Pete (2009), which was made on a micro budget, he broke through with Weekend (2011). 45 Years is his third feature film. In 2014-2015 Haigh directed episodes of the TV series Looking for HBO, which also presented the TV film based on this series, Looking: The Movie. In 2017, Haigh returned to making feature films with Lean on Pete.
