Alexey German Jr.

Alexey GERMAN Jr. (1976, Russia) grew up in St. Petersburg. He studied at the VGIK film school in Moscow from 1996 to 2001. Afterwards he worked for the Lenfilm Studios. He directed three shorts that gained him national as well as international acclaim. With Paper Soldier, his third feature, he won the Silver Lion Award at the festival in Venice in 2008.
