Alexander Bashirov
Alexander Bashirov (1955, Sogom, Russia) studied from 1984 to 1991 with Anatol Vasilev at the Moscow Film Institute VGIK, and went on to make two short films. He attended film classes in New York and acted in more than twenty films, making him one of the best-known faces of post-Soviet cinema. In 1996 he founded his own film production company.
