Adolfas Mekas

Adolfas MEKAS (1925, Lithuania) was an independent filmmaker and taught film at Bard College until his retirement in 2004. His film Hallelujah the Hills (1962) is considered an important cornerstone of the New American Cinema Movement. He co-directed some films together with his brother Jonas Mekas, including The Brig (1964).
