Ananda SAFO is a French writer and director. She is a visual artist who turned to filmmaking in 2004 and has devoted herself entirely to it for the past fifteen years. Her artistic exploration is often hybrid, combining a documentary approach imbued with reality and a more fictional one, aiming to transcend or sublimate reality.

Her recent projects explore femininity in its most intimate mysteries and question our relationship to sexuality. Her latest film in 2022, Sex Relish (a solo orgasm) an engaging animated documentary about female masturbation, has received meaningful awards (best animation movie, Special Jury award…), in countries that question the status of women.

369 is her first VR creation.
