Profile 

Revolver Amsterdam produces and co-produces feature films, documentaries and hybrid media projects for an international audience. The focus is strongly on daring and contemporary films with social relevance, both with upcoming and established directing talent. The company is based in the Netherlands but works on projects across Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia. Recent titles include I Dream in Another Language by Ernesto Contreras (Sundance Film Festival Competition, winner of the 2017 Sundance Audience Award,); Bruce Lee and the Outlaw by Joost Vandebrug (Best World Documentary Award at 2019 Busan International Film Festival); Bodkin Ras by Kaweh Modiri (Official Selection at 2016 SXSW, two FIPRESCI Awards from IFFR & Viennale.); Love & Friendship by Whit Stillman, starring Kate Beckingsale and Chloë Sevigny (Premiere at 2016 Sundance Film Festival.); the documentary Too Beautiful, Our Right to Fight by Maceo Frost ( Premiere at 2018 Sheffield Doc Fest).

Kirsi Saivosalmi is an Amsterdam-based producer from Finland working with Revolver Amsterdam. Her focus is in creative project development, co-productions and foreign language feature films. Before jumping into production, she first worked as a talent agent and casting director in Scandinavia. She has also been a producer on three short films. No matter what genre, she is always looking for contemporary stories with social relevance, strong protagonists and topics that speak about identity, cultural miscommunication or transitional moments in life. She is currently working on feature films such as Under the Naked Sky by Lilian Sijbesma (2020 Holland Film Meeting) and Crossing by Jacqueline van Vugt (2019 CineMart). Her first co-production Eami, la memoria del monte by the Paraguayan director Paz Encina is currently in post-production.
