Juliana Kabua
Juliana Kabua is a producer and alumni of Ouaga Film Lab & Durban Film Mart where she has presented one of her feature films- Conversations With My Mother. Ten O’clock, a short film she has produced, premiered in April 2019 In Competition for the Young African FilmMakers Award at the Afrika Filmfestival in Leuven, Belgium. The film also screened In Competition at PÖFF Shorts Film Festival 2019 in Estonia. Amongst other films she has produced are: Love Sweet Sound (2019) and Ziwa (2021), short films that have been funded by Docubox, an EastAfrican film fund organisation, under their short film initiative.
Lightbox Africa - Kenya
Established in 2012, LBx Africa (Lightbox Limited) is a Nairobi-based production company that produces high-quality Fiction and Non-fiction content. We collaborate with filmmakers across the continent to bring uniquely African perspectives to global audiences. We currently have projects ongoing in different parts of the world. Our work includes the multi-award-winning and Oscar-nominated film Watu Wote (2017) and the critically acclaimed documentary Softie (2020), which won the World Documentary Cinema Special Jury Award for editing at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020.
