Jaime Guerrero Naudin
Jaime was born in Medellín in 1986. In 2010 he, and some university colleagues, co-founded Rara Cine, one of the most recognized film production houses in the city. At Rara, he has worked as a creative producer and production manager in four feature films; some of which have won national and international awards. In 2016 he received the Film Development Fund incentive to produce Days of the Whale, Catalina Arroyave's debut film, which had its world premiere in SXSW 2019 and has participated in more than 30 film festivals worldwide and won four awards. In 2020 he began the development of the Colombo-Spanish co-production of La Unión, the debut film of the Spanish director Cordelia Alegre and the project winner of Ibermedia 2021 for its development. With this project, he was selected to be part of the Rotterdam Lab 2022 and the Visitors Program by the EFM 2022. Currently, he is working on developing the feature film Burning Kingdom, Catalina Arroyave’s second film, project winner of the CNC and FDC development funds.
Rara Cine – Colombia
Rara Cine was created in 2010 by a group of social and audiovisual communicators to consolidate, from Medellin, a film production company that would make possible our films and those of our accomplices, contributing to the growth and diversification of the Colombian film industry. Our short and feature film projects have received development and production incentives from the Colombian Film Development Fund and have participated in renowned film festivals around the world. Our films are characterized by their thematic and narrative explorations and by presenting new voices in Colombian cinema and the search for new models and strategies for production, promotion, and distribution, combining our passion with the rigor of our craft.
