Exploring the (subversive) possibilities of the arthouse genre film, the opportunities and challenges in the marketplace for filmmakers, festivals, sales agents/distributors, to reconfigure the stereotypes and tropes of horror, the supernatural, westerns, sci-fi, noir, melodrama to tackle issues of class, race, gender, sexuality, politics and climate change.

Moderated by Madeleine Molyneaux, with producer Emily Morgan and director Claire Oakley (Make Up), directors Artemio Narro (ColOZio) and John Hsu (Detention), Sales Agent Arnaud Chevallier (Reel Suspects), festival programmer Bianca Taal (IFFR).
