IFFR Young Selectors

Are you always the one giving tips for cool (IFFR-)films and festivals in the city? Do your friends describe you as the ultimate organiser, and would you like to create your very own events? Do you outshine everybody with your Instagram Stories? Are you up to date on the newest Snapchat tools? We are looking for you!

At International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) the IFFR Young Selectors take matters in their own hands. For the next edition of the festival, we are looking for two ambitious Young Selectors who – together with two experienced Young Selectors – will form a team. This time we are looking for selectors who have great marketing and communication skills and who enjoy translating ideas into practical matters.

Your role as a selector

As an IFFR Young Selector, you are the festival’s ambassador. You will select films and write tips to bring IFFR to the attention of your peers. Besides that, you will organise two film events: one before the festival takes place, and one during the festival. Together with the other selectors, you are responsible for the total project from the beginning until the end: the film selection, the side programming, marketing, communications and the practical organisation of the events.

What do we offer?

  • An unforgettable experience allowing you to realise your ideas through IFFR.

  • Working experience that teaches you how to organise an event and bring it to a successful conclusion.

  • Access to exclusive IFFR-events, such as the official Opening Night and the Closing Night: Film & Party.

  • A two year Tiger Membership Supreme. This gives you priority during ticket sales and two years of unlimited film visits during IFFR.

  • Compensation for the IFFR Young Selectors project.

The registration is now closed.
