How to fest at IFFR 2023
24 January 2023
We are more than excited to be back on the face of Rotterdam for IFFR 2023. In the last few weeks, we have been releasing the titles for our programme and the time is finally here to start getting ready for the festival. Be sure not to miss out on the perfect film for you or an important festival update by following these tips. Enjoy our special events and special edition merchandise to make the most of your festival experience.
Review the programme and find films you love
For this 52nd edition of IFFR, we will screen over 600 films. We have carefully curated this selection of intriguing, moving, and diverse films for everyone but don’t be overwhelmed! We have tools to help you navigate the programme and find the perfect film for you. A printed copy of the programme was also distributed in the Volkskrant on Jan 18, and will be distributed in different locations across the Netherlands, Rotterdam, and at our festival locations
Favourites
Before you start browsing the programme, we recommend you create an account on IFFR.com (if you don’t have one already). There, you can add favourites from the programme or the IFFR Film Finder and quickly access the films that you find interesting.
The IFFR Film Finder
With the Film Finder, you can discover the films that best suit you. Watch film trailers and rate the ones you like. The more films you rate, the more personal your suggestions.
Filters
When browsing the programme on our website, be sure to use our filters to see the selection for our competitions, awards, or IFFR programmes such as RTM, Harbour, Limelight, Bright Future, Cinema Regained, and Short & Mid-length. You can also search our Art Directions programme including Installation, Immersive Media, and sound//vision, or the Focus programmes on Stanya Kahn, Yuasa Masaaki, Judit Elek, arc, and The Shape of Things to Come.
Tips
At IFFR, we’re lucky enough to have partners who love cinema as much as we do. See our Partner Tips blogs with all the highlights from CJP, Cineville, We Are Public, and VPRO — and learn about their discounts.
