Frida Mårtensson
Frida Mårtensson runs Verket Produktion together with Anette Sidor and Jerry Carlsson. Most recently she produced the feature The Year I Started Masturbating by Erika Wasserman for the production company Gimme a Break and the shorts Successful Thawing of Mr Moro and The Night Train by Jerry Carlsson for Verket Produktion. Her short films have competed at hundreds of festivals around the world such as Venice, Toronto, Clermont-Ferrand and Palm Springs, and won the Best Nordic Short Award at Nordisk Panorama twice. Before starting at Verket Frida was Associate Producer at Garagefilm International, working on a number of critically acclaimed features like Call Girl by Mikael Marcimain, Something Must Break by Ester Martin Bergsmark and Amateurs by Gabriela Pichler.
Verket Produktion – Sweden
Verket Produktion is a Stockholm-based production company founded in 2016 by writers/directors Anette Sidor and Jerry Carlsson, currently run by Frida Mårtensson together with Anette and Jerry. We consider art and culture a way of investigating; what does it mean to be human? Verket has released six short films, among them ”Successful Thawing of Mr Moro” which premiered at TIFF 2021, ”The Night Train”which premiered in Venice Orizzonti competition 2020 and ”Fuck You” which screened at Locarno, TIFF and Sundance to name a few. Verket Produktion is currently in development with several feature projects supported by The Swedish Film Institute.
