Creative Producer Indaba

The programme is designed for producers working from or with the African continent. This includes:

• Producers (with and without projects) from Africa;

• Producers from outside Africa with an interest in co-producing with Africa. One place is guaranteed for one Brazilian producer due to a partnership with Projeto Paradiso.

• African film professionals from other disciplines such as distribution, international sales, funding bodies, institutions, broadcasters and development executives with a stake in the African marketplace.

Programme 2023–24

In-person sessions started at the Atlas Workshops, part of the Marrakech International Film Festival, from 25 November to 1 December 2023. Following that, producers will have sessions from 26 January to 2 February 2024, during IFFR 2024.

Programme 2022–23

Fifteen producers from around the globe have been selected to participate in the second Creative Producer Indaba (CPI) which takes place from 7 November this year online for a week, at the Atlas Workshops (Marrakech International Film Festival) 14 – 17 November and at International Film Festival Rotterdam (25 January – 5 February 2023) in person.
