LantarenVenster’s Queer Cinema is a monthly movie night dedicated to showcasing the best of queer cinema. We've joined forces with them to screen the amazing, colourful Filipino rom-com I Love You, Beksman which screened at IFFR 2023. There will be an introduction by IFFR programmer Lyse Nsengiyumva beforehand.

Erasmus University and IFFR are teaming up for the monthly film special, organised by ESN-Rotterdam and Studium Generale. Join us on Wednesday 17 January as we screen an audience favourite from the IFFR 2023 programme: Aftersun. Ahead of the main film, one of the IFFR programmers will share a sneak preview of the upcoming 53rd edition of the festival with you.

To get into the festival mood, we're teaming up with the Rotterdam Library for the screening of two films that were part of our festival in previous years: SOLO by Vincent Boy Kars and Saxman by Carel van Hees and Martijn 't Hart. The event takes place on Thursday 11 January at 19.00, with Vincent Boy Kars joining us for a Q&A about his film afterwards.
