Clyde Gates

Clyde entered INSAS, a cinema school in Brussels, when he was 18 in 2012. There he met his dearest friends whom he has been making cinema with ever since. Together they founded SCUM and self-produced short films by guerilla shooting through the volcanoes of Iceland and the frozen concrete of Murmansk. He is currently producing Loynes, Dorian Jespers' upcoming project, as well as writing his first feature, Z Meteor.

Scum Pictures – Belgium

“A Belgian, a French and a Swiss meet in a cinema school”... It all started like a very bad joke. In 2013, Clyde, Gabriel and Arnaud founded SCUM.

The company seeks to produce innovative cinematic propositions. For every project, it crafts its process around a director’s vision. SCUM holds on to a fine editorial line while navigating through unknown territories. It is driven by the desire for excellence and novelty behind each film.
