Caroline Kganyago-Ralefeta

Caroline Kganyago-Ralefeta is a South African content and creative producer who specialised in film and television screenwriting, graduating from University of Cape Town and University of the Witwatersrand.

She first cut her teeth in corporate at Africa's leading broadcaster (M-Net) from 2014-2018 working in various roles in content creation and acquisition. Her breakthrough as a creative producer and screenwriter was on Mnet's Emmy nominated telenovela, The River, which is currently in its fifth successful season.

She has worked on several other television shows such as Legacy, Gomora and Giyani to name a few. Caroline has also head-written three Showmax movies which premiered in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Her passion for storytelling and Africa’s growing television and film industry propelled her to join Sisters Working In Film and Television (SWIFT), a voluntary non-profit organisation committed to empowering women working in the film and television industry by building institutional strength through mass membership and forging partnerships with relevant stakeholders, which she was elected as a board member in 2019.
