BoostNL

Pènc 13

A young Senegalese woman angers her family’s protective spirits, putting her loved ones in mortal danger. Racing through an otherworldly Dakar, collecting clues and talismans, she has 24 hours to restore the chaos she has unleashed.

What have you achieved so far with the BoostNL programme?

The BoostNL programme has helped me to confront this project with the gaze and opinion of peers and other professionals in the industry. It was eye-opening to understand that we had a story that moves beyond Senegalese borders and to see a potential commercial future for Pènc 13. Boost NL also helped me to prepare for the business side of our project, and how we could best present it to the world.

What would be your ideal next steps for your project?

We plan to have a script draft ready by the end of the first quarter of 2023. We will soon begin working on a budget and the SFX/VFX scope, and start raising funds for the project. We are looking for European co-producers, sales and distribution.
