BoostNL

BoostNL is a 5-month tailor-made programme running from September, with the kick-off during the Nederlands Film Festival, until the IFFR Pro Days.

BoostNL brings Dutch projects together with international ones – those supported by our Hubert Bals Fund – to create a unique international platform for co-development. The programme starts at the Holland Film Meeting (HFM) of the Netherlands Film Festival, and finishes at IFFR.

The main aim of the programme is to offer guidance to the selected projects as well as exposure to new potential partners. BoostNL will focus on projects that are ready to be presented at a co-production market.

Selection 2022–23

By uniting forces, the festivals of IFFR and NFF create a space in which the selected projects can get more and stronger film industry exposure. The participating project representatives will receive advice from film professionals through a series of individual meetings with special attention paid to script development as well as advice on festival, sales and marketing strategies.

Programme

During NFF the focus for the selected projects is a customised expert programme with script consultants, festival-, sales- and marketing strategy experts as well as specific film professionals upon the request of the project teams. BoostNL is a programme in which we encourage the project teams to think out of the box and request advice from professionals on all thinkable areas of project development.

At the IFFR, the focus will be more on one-to-one meetings with potential international co-producers, sales agents or distributors. During the Spotlight event, the projects receive the opportunity to talk about their project and present themselves to the attending industry.
